A New Year Means Exciting News From Gracie's Plant Works

As we begin 2016
and our 6th year of business,
we want to share some
exciting news and enhancements to
Gracie's Plant Works.
Aren't you curious?

There is a LOT of news here, so grab a cup of tea or coffee,
sit back and get a load of what we've been doing!
Be sure to read to the end for the announcement
about gift certificates!

First of all,
we've expanded our growing capacity with
TWO new growing greenhouses.

Todd laying the groundwork.

More room to grow even more
new and different varieties!

There are several new retail display areas that Art built,
one specifically designed for our launch of specially selected
"fabulous flora" flowering annuals.

We've quadrupled our nursery stock to include lots of shrubs,
trees, fruiting trees, and berry bushes.
Here is Patty, preparing to plant up bare root trees last spring.

We'll also be offering a special sale in the spring
with discounts on bare root trees and shrubs.

Stay tuned for the announcement via the blog.

Last year, we sold out of apple trees before opening day
because of all the pre-orders.  This year,
we will have many more varieties, plus plums, grapes, and cherries,
all carefully selected for growing in the Ely area.

We have greatly expanded the selection of perennials for 2016,
with lots of specialty hostas and flowering plants.
We have also focused on perennial plants that love shade,
which so many of you have requested.

Of course, more inventory meant that the entire
perennial sales area needed to be reworked.
This photo was taken last year, and in the meantime,
Art has done an amazing job, and we can't wait
for you all to see it!!

You may have already guessed, but with the expansion of the perennials
and nursery stock, we are now also offering
landscape design work.

Along with landscape design come urns, pots, vessels, and statuary.
We will be offering an amazing selection of
cast sandstone pieces that are light as a feather
and as durable as concrete.

Of course, if you are going to plant one of these pots,
you'll need soil/media (which we will have in 2016) as well
as fertilizer for your flowers, (which we will also have in 2016)
after many, many requests that we carry these items.

We went on a buying trip in October,
adding seven new gift lines,
and we bought a truckload of wrought iron
garden art.

You won't believe the selection and the
many beautiful items we'll have for you this spring!

Are you exhausted yet?  We aren't!

We will be offering a huge selection of vegetable and flower (NEW THIS YEAR)
seeds from Botanical Interests.  We've selected lots of seed packets for planting
pollinator gardens, including several different milkweed varieties.

We love these seeds because the packets contain loads
of information on planting, growing, and harvesting.

Get in touch with us to find out what we will have available and save
yourself the cost of postage!!

Wondering if we're done yet?
Almost.
The last thing we want you to know is that
you can now purchase gift certificates ON-LINE
and pay by credit card.

They're great for any occasion...birthday, anniversary, get well,
hostess gifts, or just because you happen to love a gardener.

We will mail them to you, or you can pick them up.

We are anxious for spring, and looking forward
to re-connecting with you all!

but you can arrange for pre-orders by
