What's New, Pussycat?

Wanna know what's new and exciting at
Gracie's Plant Works
in 2017?

Succulents are still wildly popular.
Walking around in Minneapolis last weekend, it was
hard to not notice that most of the displays and catalogs were full of succulents.

Fake succulents, that is.

Succulents are so easy to grow, I just don't know why
you need faux.  This year, we found a new source
for some pretty amazing specimens
that are a fraction of the cost of the faux versions.
Here are some teaser photos to whet your appetite.

Also trending and increasing in popularity are pollinator gardens.
New this year and only available from Gracie's Plant Works
(until someone starts copying us, that is)
are jumbo 6 pack combinations of carefully selected perennials
for pollinators that we call
'Gardens to Go'.

There will be several variations, each one will include a combination
of zone 3 perennial plants selected to attract hummingbirds,
bees, butterflies, and pollinators in general.

There will be 'Gardens to Go' for sun or for shade,
for moist or for dry (think rain gardens, and more on that in
a future post), perennial natives, and a special selection of perennials for moon gardens.
For now, the other combinations are top secret.

Ever striving
to offer the new and unique, we have brought in a few new lines of product that
we think are a perfect fit for our north woods clientele.

Robin Goodfellow Designs
hand made necklaces, bracelets, and earrings will make you swoon.

Funky and fun
hand blown garden art that's solar!!

 AMAZING
in a moon garden or to highlight a path at night.

Another beautiful group of products we added this year are the luxury
lotions, foaming soaps, and linens by Michel Design Works.

These botanically-inspired towels are natural woven cotton
in a generous 20" x 28" size.

They are so beautiful that they are suitable for framing.  Seriously.

We've completed the construction of a new growing greenhouse
to allow us to grow more annuals and perennials and to offer a greater selection.

We have greatly enhanced our inventory of nursery stock to include even
more fruiting trees and shrubs, or what we call 'ornamental edibles'.

In a nutshell, we're expanding.  Again.

And we're so anxious to see everyone when the weather warms up a bit!
Until then, we'll be busy while you are all scheming your
gardens and planters for spring.
