Color My World

What's the latest trend
for relaxation?
Yoga and meditation notwithstanding,
the craze is.....
Coloring Books for Adults!

We saw them at market last fall,
and while we loved the idea, we figured
we could do better than a book printed in China.
So.
Patty and I have teamed up with
Dafne Caruso of the Art Corner
right here in Ely to create a special, one-of-a-kind book for all
lovers of gardens, vegetables, and flowers.

Each book contains 9 pages of
'coloring opportunities', as Dafne calls them.

What we love is that she has taken her inspiration
directly from the grounds at Gracie's Plant Works
and from some of my photos that
have appeared on the blog.

We'll have the books, and
The Art Corner at 301 West Sheridan
(in the same building as Custom Theaters of Ely)
has a great selection of
pens, markers, pencils, and watercolors with which
to doodle away on these pages.

Each page is extra thick and sized
at 8" x 10" so you can
frame your artwork when you are finished
if you'd like.

These books would also make a great gift for anyone you know
living in an area
where winters are long and temperatures are cold.

Plus, since there's still plenty of winter left
(I know, right?!  I just looked at the forecast
and was mighty disappointed!)
these books are available now for you to enjoy.
Give us a call, shoot us an e-mail,
message us on Gracie's Plant Works Facebook page,
add a comment to the blog;
 we'll hook you up.

Everyone who purchases a coloring book
can enter Gracie's coloring contest, the winner will
receive a fabulous prize.
(We'll give you the details at time of purchase.)

An added bonus?
These coloring books are being printed
here in town by Ely Design Works,
another local business owned by a local woman.
Woot Woot!!

Keeping projects such as this
hyper-local is a pleasure.
It makes us happy to collaborate
with fellow Elyites,
and to continue our mission
to encourage and support
women in local businesses.

This, my friends, is
what colors our world.

  1. Thank you ladies so much for the opportunity to work with you. It was super fun perusing the site for fun photos to use for the coloring pages and not only was I able to use your photos as inspiration but I also learned a lot. This, my friends, is what colors our world!!!
