Springtime Tease

Hooray for springtime and for Daylight Savings Weekend!
Don't forget to SPRING AHEAD one hour on Saturday night.

The crew at Gracie's is in full springtime production mode, so we thought we'd share a few photos from last year's growing season as a peek into the inside of a growing greenhouse.

Two, count 'em, two long and cold winters have left most of us curled in the fetal position chanting
"spring is just around the corner.  I can make it".

Here's proof that spring is, indeed, just around the corner and it's now safe to start looking forward to that first robin, lake ice getting darker and melting, longer days, and spring peepers!

Tiny tomato plants are peeking out of the soil and are reaching for the light, as we all are
this time of year.

Soon, they will all be planted up into larger pots and labeled.

This is a busy time of year for us, and we love it.  12 hours a day, 7 days a week, week after week we spend playing in the dirt, just like little kids.

Notice the snow on the greenhouse behind Patty as she plants hanging baskets.

The greenhouse fills up quickly....

Once the weather cooperates a little bit, the GPW 'crew' is outside, beginning preparations
for opening day on Mother's Day weekend.
Art and George Osaben installing hangers for our baskets.

Todd and Kim Miller priming the pump for the greenhouse watering system.

Patty, Koko and Bender arranging the market house.

We've got lots of surprises for you this spring, and join you in being anxious
for the warm weather and sunny skies.
Doesn't it just seem like anything is possible on a sunny day?

Until then, Happy Gardening,
Kathy and Patty
